Minor Equivalents

Students that enter or change to the B.A. in Biology beginning Fall 2001 must fulfill the requirements of an approved undergraduate minor or a departmental approved concentration.  The Biology Faculty will accept the following course combinations in place of a recognized CSU minor to meet the requirements  in Area H for the BA in Biology.

Minor Equivalent in Environmental Science (18 hours)
ENVS 1105: Environmental Studies 3 hours
GEOL 1121: Physical Geology 4 hours
CHEM 3111 & CHEM 3311: Organic Chemistry I and Lab 4 hours
CHEM 3112 & CHEM 3312: Organic Chemistry II and Lab 4 hours
BIOL 5535U: Conservation Biology 3 hours

 

Minor Equivalent in Premedical Studies (19 hours)
PHYS 1111 & PHYS 1131: Introductory Physics I and Lab 4 hours
PHYS 1112 & PHYS 1132: Introductory Physics II and Lab 4 hours
CHEM 3111 & CHEM 3311: Organic Chemistry I and Lab 4 hours
CHEM 3112 & CHEM 3312: Organic Chemistry II and Lab 4 hours
HESC 4115: Principles of Epidemiology 3 hours
